CASA MONALDI (VILLA EUGENIO)
Casa Monaldi (Villa Eugenio) in Cortona is an old and charming farmhouse from XVII century, restructured with a lot of care and attention. It’s part of a pleasant and beautiful complex,
very characteristic and traditional.
It’s situated in Pergo, near Cortona in Tuscany, on a hill 350 meters high, surrounded by woods and olive trees, and enjoys a marvelous view on Valdichiana, up to Mount Amiata and
Montepulciano, and of Lake Trasimeno.
Casa Monaldi, also known as Villa Eugenio, as the previous owner was called Eugenio Monaldi, is composed of two apartments: the bigger one with seven beds and the smaller one with
two beds (and two more beds trasforming the sofa). The Depandance, a part of Casa Monaldi (Villa Eugenio), has four more beds, thus bringing the total number of beds to thirteen
(plus two more trasforming the sofa). Casa Monaldi (Villa Eugenio) can be rented with or without the Depandance.
The villa
Warm and comfortable, the house is furnished in typical Tuscan style. It’s three stories high and composed of two different apartments and an outside glazed gazebo called
“limonaia”, nice and suggestive for summer outside dinners.
Depandance
Following a typical path between the olive trees, you reach the Depandance, furnished in Tuscan style. It has an arcade from where the sight is really awesome.
